Your Safety and Wellbeing Matter to Us!

At INLLEN, we want you to feel completely safe when you are involved in the Merri-bek L2P program.

Our Promise to You:

• We listen to you: Your voice is important. You have the right to speak up and tell us what you think.
• We respect who you are: It does not matter where you come from, what you believe, or who you love. Everyone belongs here.
• We keep a safe space: We look after your culture and background, especially if you are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander young person.
• We do not tolerate harm: No one—including our staff, volunteers, or other young people—is allowed to abuse you, bully you, or make you feel unsafe.

If you ever feel unsafe, worried, or upset:
You can talk to any of our staff members, or contact our L2P Coordinator, Stephanie Zurawski M: 0457 791 480. We will always take you seriously, keep your information private, and help you fix the problem. You can also call Kids Helpline anytime on 1800 55 1800.

Volunteer Mentor Drivers

Becoming a TAC L2P Mentor

The TAC L2P Program doesn’t just benefit learner drivers. The program gives our volunteer mentors an opportunity to connect with their community and directly help a young person.

We have a full training program for mentors to ensure you’re well prepared to mentor a learner driver and understand your role as a supervising driver. Learners participating in the program also have access to free driving lessons with a professional instructor to build their skills before getting on the road with a volunteer mentor.

Mentors need to meet the following criteria to join the Merri-bek TAC L2P program:

• be 25 years old or older
• hold a current full Victorian driver licence.
• can commit approximately 2 hours per week.

Application process for volunteer mentors

To apply to be a volunteer mentor, please complete a volunteer mentor application form and return it directly to our program using the contact details below.

Alternatively, the easiest way to apply is through the L2P page on the Transport Victoria website, selecting Inner Northern Local Learning and Employment Network (INLLEN) as your local program – that’s the Moreland one.

Once the application form is received, we will be in contact to go through next steps.
