Congratulations to all of those involved in RIJI 2016
Real Industry Job Interviews has wrapped up for the 7th consecutive year in Melbourne’s Inner North.
Secondary students completed a program in class to practise their job searching, resume writing and interview preparation skills. They then met with local professionals for a practice interview.
Congratulations to all of the students and teachers involved! For many students, this was their first time attending an interview of any kind. Students had the opportunity to receive feedback from the interviewers on their interview performance and resume. Many students reported that they received useful advice that will help toward their future job searching.
This program wouldn’t be possible without the support of the fantastic local industry people who volunteer their time. Professionals from local government, recruitment organisations, apprenticeship organisations and many more workplaces attended a half day event to interview the students, and some representatives visited schools to deliver interview preparation sessions. Thank you to all of those involved for their generous commitment of time, and for supporting the future job prospects of young people.

A post campaign report will be shared in 2017 including the community’s recommendations for the program in the future.
