the Youth Enterprise Hub

the Youth Enterprise Hub in Melbourne’s inner north enables young people to research and develop their own ethical, socially conscious, green enterprise in schools and their community.

the Youth Enterprise Hub provides inspiration and opportunities for young people in the pursuit of entrepreneurship as an employment pathway. It brings students, teachers, social entrepreneurs and sustainable businesses together to design and deliver an engaging, future-focused 21st Century curriculum. It will focus on passion and purpose to develop skills and vital industry connections, allowing entrepreneurial young people to succeed in business, in life and a better future for us all.

the Youth Enterprise Hub is designed to reduce the risk of youth unemployment in our region and fosters progressive thinking to address local and global challenges.

There are currently 3837 young people between the ages of 15-24 that are currently unemployed across the inner Northern region of Melbourne. These figures do not capture the working underemployed young people. Local data collected from early school leavers and those who complete Year 12 indicates extremely high rates of job seeking for school leavers with poor rates of transition into apprenticeships and full time employment.
